As an attempt to improve the experience of users who use both iPhone and Windows PCs, Microsoft has come up with a feature that allows users to easily access all their cherished memories from one organized place. Thanks to the integration of iCloud Photos on Windows.
Before setting things up, update the Photos app through the Microsoft Store and then launch it. Click the iCloud Photos app entry in the side panel on the left. Hit the Get iCloud for Windows button.
When prompted to enter your Microsoft account details, enter the ID and password and hit the Get button. Wait for the download to complete.
Enter the iCloud account details to associate your computer with Apple ID and data such as Photos, Contacts, and Calendars that might be stored in the iCloud.
After entering your iCloud account details, hit the Sign In button. Enter the verification code sent to your iPhone or other Apple device.
When the iCloud window pops up, choose the items you would like to sync by checking the box marked against them. Hit the Apply button when done.
Finally, go back to the Photos app and check if you can find all your iCloud photos on your Windows computer.
This is just the first step from Apple in expanding its content services and making them available on more platforms. The company has also confirmed the availability of Apple Music and Apple TV apps for Windows users, soon.
